1. About Herdrape
Herdrape is an online marketplace for sarees, operated by Venkatesh Ganesan, a sole proprietorship with its principal place of business at Manathal, Salem District, Tamil Nadu, India (GST-registered; trade name "Herdrape").
- Herdrape provides a platform where independent sellers list and sell products to buyers.
- Herdrape Studio is a seller account on the Platform that is owned by the same proprietor. It is subject to the same rules as every other seller.
- Unless a product page says otherwise, the contract for the sale of a product is between the buyer and the seller of that product. Herdrape acts as an intermediary that provides the Platform, order management, payments coordination and logistics coordination.

2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract under Indian law.
- You must provide accurate, complete and current information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that give false information, violate these Terms, or are used for fraud or abuse.
3. Products and listings
- Product descriptions, images, fabric details, colours and prices are provided by sellers, and we make reasonable efforts to keep them accurate.
- Sarees, especially handloom, pit-loom and Elampillai sarees, may show natural variations in colour, weave, zari and design. Colours on your screen may differ slightly from the actual product. Such variations are not defects.
- Sellers must describe fabric, weaving type (handloom, powerloom, etc.), dimensions, blouse piece and care instructions truthfully.
- We may remove any listing that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful or against these Terms.
4. Pricing and taxes
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise.
- Shipping charges, if any, are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Prices and availability may change without notice. A pricing or listing error may result in cancellation of the order, with a full refund of any amount paid.
5. Placing orders
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. An order is confirmed only when the seller confirms it (and, for prepaid orders, payment is received).
- We or the seller may cancel an order for reasons such as stock unavailability, pricing error, suspected fraud or inability to deliver to your address. If we cancel a prepaid order, you will receive a full refund.
- You can cancel an order before it is shipped, as described in our Return & Refund Policy.
6. Payments
- We accept payment methods shown at checkout, which may include UPI, cards, net banking, wallets and Cash on Delivery (COD) where available.
- Online payments are processed by third-party payment partners. We do not store your card or banking credentials.
- COD may be unavailable for certain pincodes or order values, and may be withdrawn for accounts with repeated refused deliveries.
- You agree to use only payment methods you are legally authorised to use.
7. Shipping and delivery
- Orders are shipped through our logistics partners (including Shiprocket and its courier network). Estimated delivery times are indicative and not guaranteed.
- Risk of loss passes to you on delivery. Please inspect your package on receipt and follow the unboxing instructions in our Return & Refund Policy.
- Delivery delays caused by weather, strikes, courier issues or other events outside our control are not breaches of these Terms.
- You must provide a complete and correct address and an active phone number. We are not responsible for failed deliveries caused by incorrect information.
8. Returns and refunds
Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Seller terms
If you register as a seller on Herdrape, you also agree to the following:

- You must confirm orders promptly, pack securely and dispatch within the timelines shown on the seller panel.
- You must honour the Return & Refund Policy and not sell counterfeit, misrepresented or prohibited goods (including falsely labelling powerloom products as handloom, or imitation as pure silk or zari).
- Herdrape collects its platform fees, shipping costs, return and RTO costs, and any applicable taxes (including TCS/TDS) from your payouts as set out in your seller agreement or the seller panel. Payouts are made on the schedule shown on the seller panel, subject to returns, disputes and adjustments.
- Herdrape may hold, adjust or withhold payouts in cases of suspected fraud, unresolved complaints, or policy violations.
